Leslie Townes "Bob" Hope, KBE, KC*SG, KSS was an American comedian, vaudevillian, actor, singer, dancer, athlete and author. With a career that spanned nearly 80 years, Hope appeared in more than 70 short and feature films, with 54 feature films with Hope as star, including a series of seven "Road" musical comedy movies with Bing Crosby as Hope's top-billed partner. In addition to hosting the Academy Awards show nineteen times, more than any other host, he appeared in many stage productions and television roles, and was the author of 14 books. The song "Thanks for the Memory" is widely regarded as his signature tune.

Alanis Nadine Morissette is a Canadian-American alternative rock singer, songwriter, musician, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and actress. Known for her powerful and emotive mezzo-soprano voice, Morissette began her career in Canada in the early 1990s with two mildly successful dance-pop albums. Afterwards, she moved to Holmby Hills, Los Angeles and in 1995 released Jagged Little Pill, a more rock-oriented album which sold more than 33 million copies globally and is her most critically acclaimed work. Her follow-up album, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, was released in 1998.
HeathAndrew Ledger was an Australian actor and director. After performing roles in several Australian television and film productions during the 1990s, Ledger left for the United States in 1998 to further develop his film career. His work comprised nineteen films, including 10 Things I Hate About You , The Patriot , A Knight's Tale , Monster's Ball , Lords of Dogtown , Brokeback Mountain , The Dark Knight , and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus , the latter two being posthumous releases. He also produced and directed music videos and aspired to be a film director.
