Norman Percevel Rockwell was a 20th-century American author, painter and illustrator. His works have a broad popular appeal in the United States for their reflection of American culture. Rockwell is most famous for the cover illustrations of everyday life he created for The Saturday Evening Post magazine over nearly five decades. Among the best-known of Rockwell's works are the Willie Gillis series, Rosie the Riveter, The Problem We All Live With, Saying Grace, and the Four Freedoms series. He also is noted for his 64-year relationship with the Boy Scouts of America , during which he produced covers for their publication Boys' Life, calendars, and other illustrations. These works include popular images that reflect the Scout Oath and Scout Law such as The Scoutmaster, A Scout is Reverent and A Guiding Hand, among many others.
Thomas Spencer Monson was an American religious leader, author, and the 16th President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . As president, he was considered by adherents of the religion to be a "prophet, seer, and revelator." Monson's early career was as a manager at the Deseret News, a Utah newspaper owned by the LDS Church. He spent most of his life engaged in various church leadership positions and public service.
Sharon Begley is an American journalist who is the senior science writer for Stat, the publication from The Boston Globe that covers stories related to the life sciences. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University in 1977, where she regularly contributed articles to the Yale Scientific Magazine. She has written recurring columns and feature articles in several mainstream publications on a wide variety of scientific topics. Begley is also an author and speaks at universities and gatherings of both professional and community organizations. Her topics include the neuroplasticity of the brain, issues affecting science journalism, education, and other topics she has researched during her career. She has appeared on radio and television to discuss the topics covered in her articles and books. A prolific writer, Begley has attracted both praise and criticism.
Mike Yaconelli was a writer, theologian, church leader and satirist. Co-Founder of Youth Specialties, a training organization for Christian youth leaders, and The Wittenburg Door , a satirical magazine, Yaconelli was also the pastor of a small church in Yreka, CA - "the slowest growing church in America" as he called it. He and wife Karla used to share their time between Yreka and the Youth Specialties offices in El Cajon, CA.

I think the big mistake in schools is trying to teach children anything, and by using fear as the basic motivation.
